FACULTY OF EVENT MANAGEMENT AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY

The Faculty of Event Management and Communication Technology at Hue University of Hospitality and Tourism (HUHT) was founded by virtue of decision No. 74/QD-ĐHH dated January 22, 2021, on promulgating the regulations on functions, duties, authorities, organizational structure and operation of the university.

The Faculty of Event Management and Communication Technology has a high reputation for education training and scientific research. The faculty currently manages two programs: Business Administration in tourism and E-Tourism. The faculty is presently cooperating with several businesses in Thua Thien Hue as well as in other provinces of Vietnam central religion in the fields of event management, e-tourism, and e-marketing.

 2. FACULTY STRUCTURE AND  PERSONNEL

– The Department of Information Technology and Communication: was established on April 15, 2010, under decision No. 658/QD-ĐHH-TCNS of the Director of Hue University. The department forms a part of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism – Hue University until January 22, 2021, after the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism achieved approval to become the School of Hospitality and Tourism – Hue University. The department combines with the Department of Event Management and Service Marketing to become the Faculty of Event Management And Communication Technology. The department currently has ten lecturers, including two PhDs, one PhD student, and seven Masters. The Department of Information Technology and Communications was founded to meet the requirements of society in educating technology students in the matter of service tourism. The department is in charge of educating students in the field of e-tourism and scientific research that involves e-commerce in tourism.

 – The Department of Event Management and Service Marketing was formed in February 2013, to respond to the general development requirements of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism – Hue University. The department is managing programs for bachelor’s degrees 1) Communication and Marketing; (2) Event management; (3) Public relations. Currently, there are fourteen lecturers, including one Associate Professor, two PhD students, and eight Masters in the department.
