School of Hospitality and Tourism
Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of School of Hospitality and Tourism which is a unit of Youth Union of Hue University, is dedicated to be the voice of young students of the School of Hospitality and Tourism. Acting as a bridge Committee, Board of Directors of School of Hospitality and Tourism – Hue University in youth works for students, organising campaigns and various activities for youth members.
Youth Union of School of Hospitality and Tourism was founded in 2008 as an unit of Youth Union of Hue University with the slogan: “… Effective – Meaningful”. It consists of more than 30 chapters, 06 clubs, Teams and sub-Groups, attracting nearly 2,000 youth members.
Through nearly 10 years of history, the Youth Union has always been a leading voice for young students in youth movements and other union activities.
Along with the political and ideology mission, the Faculty Youth Union also focuses strongly on supporting young students to improve their social knowledge and strengthen their essential skills. Many charity events and activities have been organised, attracted a large number of young students, including volunteer work at centers for disable children; helping lonely Elderly; supporting Vietnamese war veterans and people who have contributed to the Vietnam Revolution. Through various clubs and specialised groups such as Social work and Volunteer Group, the Ambition Student Club, Red Drop Club for blood donation, the union members have supported the local community and many people in need. These have helped young students to develop their social skills, establish a growth mindset, creativity and positive thinking. The Youth Union has also inspired the youth to contribute more to the community they are living in and to the common society which helps nuturing their kindness and compassion towards other people. The accomplishment of the Youth Union of School of Hospitality and Tourism over the years has drawn a growing number of students registered for the Union each year, while there are more and more young Union members get praised and selected to become Communist Party members.
Besides, the Youth Union of School of Hospitality and Tourism has also cooperated closely with other Youth Union units in a broad range of activities and events. Many members of the Union have joined vonluntary programs to support the poors in remote areas in Thua Thien Hue and Central Highlands region. Representatives of the Youth Union of Tourims Faculty had actively participated in competitions by higher-level Youth Union chapters and won numbers of awards for their excellent performance. Some of the remarkable competitions are “Student’s got talent”, “Mr and Mrs”, “Students contribute to drug prevention”, etc.
With its value contribution to the development of the youth and support for people and local community, many members of the Union have been awarded with Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of School of Hospitality and Tourism, Hue University has proved itself to be a dynamic platform for young, creative, self-confident and compassionate students to express themselves, improve and become a better citizen.
