I. Overview of the Communist Party Cell of the HAT School – Hue University

         The Communist Party Cell (Primary Party Organisation) of the School of Hospitality and Tourism was established on March 9, 2009 with only five party members, affiliated to the Party Committee of the Hue University. All activities of the Branch were directed by the Standing Communist Party Committee of Hue University.           Throughout the history, the Communist Party Cell has always fulfilled its political duties in the School, played a leadership role in all School activities and operation. The main duties of the include to propagate policies and strategies of the Communist Party and the government; build human capacity and nurture political theory of the Party members; develop and maintain a sound and strong Party in terms of politics, ideology, organizational structure and development.

The Party Cell encourages each member to be a good example, a pioneer in all activities of the School of Hospitality and Tourism. Regular meeting of the Party Cell and other political activities are integrated into professional works, laying foundation for solid unity and consensus in the School, among all the staff, Communist Party Committee, Trade Union and Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the School.

   Communist Party development is one of the most important goals of the Party Cell of the School of Hospitality and Tourism. Currently, the organisation has 24 Party members and has been attracting more and more young staff to join.

II.Overview of Trade Union of The School

The Trade Union of the School of HAT was established under Decision No. 153/QĐ-CĐ dated on June 25, 2008 by the Trade Union of Hue University, after the establishment of the School of HAT – Hue University. The then Executive Board of the Trade Union is appointed with 03 members. Six months later, on January 5, 2009, the first meeting of the Trade Union of the School elected an Executive Committee consisting of 05 members and was approved by the Executive Committee of the Hue University Trade Union. The School Trade Union has successfully held four annual grand meetings. The current Executive Committee of the School Trade Union in the period of 2017-2021 includes 9 members as follows:

Throughout 9 years of history, the School Trade Union is still a small-scale Trade Union, lacking financial resources and human capacity. However, the School Trade Union has always fulfilled all the assigned political duties, to truly represent and protect the legitimate rights and benefits of the School employees. It has been the source of motivation for the trade union members to enhance their work performance, continually learning and improving their professional knowledge, creativity and attitude.

In addition, the School Trade Union has actively participated in various extracurricular activities organised by Trade Union of all levels and had won the title of ‘Excellent Trade Union’ over the years. Especially, School Trade Union have been awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Trade Union of Education in Vietnam for 4 consecutive school years from 2012 until now.
