- INTRODUCTION
The Faculty of Travel Industry Management, School of Hospitality and Tourism – Hue University was formerly known as the Division of Travel Management – one of the first three divisions established within the Faculty of Hospitalities and Tourism – Hue University in February 2008 following the Decision on February 17, 2008, of the President of Hue University.
After more than 13 years of development, along with the decision to establish the School of Hospitalities and Tourism in November 2020, the faculty is honored to be named Faculty of Travel Industry Management – marking a new development stage with many challenges and requiring more efforts related to human resource training for the travel industry and tour guide.
The Faculty of Travel Industry Management includes the Division of Travel Management and the Division of Tour Guide; under the training field of Tourism and Travel Service Management.
Currently, the faculty has more than 1,300 full-time students studying these two majors at the faculty, taught by experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated academic staff. There are 19 lecturers in the faculty (including 1 Associate Professor, 3 PhDs, 2 PhD candidates, 9 MScs, and 4 lecturers who are studying postgraduate programs in Vietnam and overseas).
The faculty has built good relationships with many domestic and foreign partners through the exchange of lecturers and students, cooperation in the implementation of research projects; organize conferences, seminars and professional competitions. In addition, the faculty has been building a close cooperation relationship with related professional associations in the field of tourism, travel and tour guide in the provinces in Central region, Central Highlands and the whole country.

We are committed to building an academic space associated with real experiences in order to connect students with career opportunities in the tourism – travel – tour guide industry in Vietnam and around the world. The faculty’s students are developed in a learning and living environment with a variety of experiences and interdisciplinary interactions as well as connections.
- ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE AND HUMAN RESOURCES
In order to keep up with the continuous development of society, the Faculty staffs always strive to expand their knowledge and improve their professional qualifications. Besides experienced Faculty lecturers, we also invite many more officials, experts and business managers to teach students. They are experts, managers with various experiences in the Departments, the Research Institutes, as well as execute reputable travel and tourism businesses.

The tour guide training program aims to equip learners with basic knowledge of tourism and tour guide profession; geography, history, culture, economy, society, politics of Vietnam.
The program is offered to Vietnamese students, is a prerequisite for students to apply for a tour guide cards. |

Investors or experts in managing travel and tourism businesses. – Working in state management agencies in charge of culture – sport – tourism, public relations and other relevant agencies from central to local levels, research institutes, training institutions, tourism and travel agencies and enterprises of different economic sectors. · Bachelor of Travel Management – Supervising and operating in departments that directly providing services or specialists in functional departments in travel business establishments. – Specialists of non-business units in the field of travel services, state management agencies in travel, NGOs in travel services, investors or experts in managing travel and tourism businesses. 3. Training duration: 4 years · Total credits: 120 · Enrollment: Following the Regulation on enrollment of regular universities and colleges of the Ministry of Education and Training. 4. Training process, graduation conditions: · Credit-based training process · Graduation conditions: Students accumulate a minimum of 120 credits, of which the compulsory part is 98 credits, and the optional part is at least 22 credits. 5. Grading scale: – Partial assessment and final exam scores are scored on a 10-point scale (from 0 to 10), rounded to one decimal place. – Course grades are rounded to one decimal place, then converted to letter grades: A, B, C, D, F, I, X. |
