Library

Function:

The Library provides supporting services to teaching work and research activities. It also promotes science and technology application to library management in HAT School.

Mandates:

• Advise the School Dean in planning and developing the Library, preparing the Library operational plan in both short term and long term.
• Advise and assist the Research management and International Cooperation Office and other relevant Departments to update the School academic database.
• Organise, archive, preserve, manage and distribute academic material in an effective manner.
• Ensure convenient access and effective use of the Library database and material resources.
• Research and apply scientific and technological innovation, especially in information technology, to modernise the library management.
• Ensure the Library meets relevant national and international standards in university quality control.
• Cooperate with other libraries in Vietnam to improve the Library quality.
• Collaborate closely with other departments and affiliates in Hue University to accomplish predetermined goals.
• Report to Hue University on the Library operation on a regular basis (monthly, every school term, annually and when required).

Service quality goals:

1. Fulfill the reader’s demand of library services.
2. 100% of subjects have reference materials available in accordance with the requirements of Ministry of Education and Training.
3. 100% of the material are professionally processed in accordance with international standards and updated to the library management system.
4. 90% of additional material requests are successfully completed.
5. 100% of librarians are professionally trained and achieve level B official and upwards according to Hue University ranking scheme.
