Regarding international cooperation framework, representative of the School of Hospitality and Tourism had a meeting with representatives of Shizuoka University, Japan.

Professor Valerie Wilkinson was the representative of Shizuoka University to attend the meeting. Representatives of School of Hospitality and Tourism included Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Huu Tuan – Deputy Dean of the School of Hospitality and Tourism, Mr. Le Van Hoa – Lecturer of Information Technology major and Ms. Dinh Thi Huong Giang – Lecturer of Communication major and representative from International Cooperation unit.
Professor Valerie Wilkinson shared information about Shizuoka University
The meeting marked the the cooperation between the two schools within the framework of cooperation agreement between Hue University and Shizuoka University. On the occasion of the meeting, representatives from the two universities exchanged information between the two universities, opportunities for cooperation and special development, and discussed the Asia Bridge Program (ABP). ). ABP is a scholarship program for students from other countries, including Vietnam. Accordingly, awarded students can receive a bachelor’s degree, and a master’s degree at Shizuoka University. There are two students of the School of Hospitality and Tourism currently pursuing a master’s degree at Shizuoka University.

Representative of the Faculty of Tourism – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Tuan affirmed the interest of the Faculty of Tourism in the problems proposed by Professor Wilkinson, and also mentioned that it would widely inform relevant information of ABP to interested students of the Faculty of Tourism.
