School of Hospitality and Tourism
“For the environment” volunteer day was organised on April 18th 2017as a respond to the Volunteer Day movement launched by the Youth Union Board of Executives of School of Hospitality and Tourism. The event was run by the Youth Union – Chapter of Class of Travel Management 1 (48th year), joined by Ms. Le Thanh Minh – academic advisor of the Class. The Volunteer Day has attracted the enthusiasm participation of more than 70 youth union member in the beach clean-up activities at the Thuan An beach in Phu Vang ward, Hue. The Faculty young students have collected rubbish along the coastline, helped protecting the ocean from the impacts of plastic and trash.
The event was a success in getting young people involved, proving the important role the youth would play in environment protection, including responding to climate change, prevent and reducing the natural disaster damage.
