“Blood donation” is life-saving, a truly noble and compassionate act. There are many people who loose life all over our country every day without getting blood on time. Your blood donated would help save many lives of the critically ills and accident victims, as well as saving people from losing their loved ones.
The Humanitarian Blood Donation Program of the School of Hospitality and Tourism, Hue University was held on May 17th 2017, in cooperation with the Blood Transfusion Center, Hue Branch on 6 Ngo Quyen street. The program slogan this year was “Giving one blood drop, saving one life”. With the generous help from doctors, nurses of the Hospital and enthusiastic involvement of the Red Drop club members, the Program had attracted a large number of teachers, staff and students of the Faculty to register and donate.
Donating blood could be a way to check your health condition, as your blood was tested and results would be sent to you privately. Blood donors would also get sufficient amount of blood to meet their needs without any charges. Donating blood is therefore can be seen as preserving your own blood for future use. Donors would be awarded with a certificate that recognises your life-saving gift and kind generosity.
Youth Union members were proud to participate in the Program and make their positive contribution to the society.
At the end of the Program, the Chapter collected 120 units of blood, exceeding the club’s target. The success of the Humanitarian Blood Donation Program has not only helped increase the blood bank reserves but also showed the spirit of solidarity, a good deed of all staff and students of the School of Hospitality and Tourism.
